school continues |
Sorry its been so long. I don't know who actually reads this, but i feel bad when i don't update it. :)
Anyway, life is going good. Not a whole lot happens on a daily basis besides school. Lucas got a little bearded dragon named "ollie". He is pretty cool, but his nickname is "fatty" and he eats a lot of crickets (which surprizingly aren't that cheap)
School is a lot more intense than i had expected. Nothing i can't handle, but it is definately an adjustment after not really taking school seriously for a 1 1/2 years. A normal day is about 5-6 hours of class with a 3 hour lab. Once in a while i end up spending 14+ hours in the same building just because of how classes and study groups fall.
I know pretty much everyone in classes, maybe not by name, but i've probably had a conversation or two (90 people in my class). Made some closer friends but we're all still trying to get a feel of whats going on.
I went home last week. It was weird. Felt like a different world. While i'm down here everything is vet related, classes, pets ect. It felt like i had nothing to report on at home. Definately doesn't feel like home quite yet here, more like i'm on a mission and eventually i'll get to leave. i kinda feel cut off from the real world and my people.
Its not all bad. I do have a good group of friends here, and there is a lot of laughter during the week, just doesn't quite feel like my life.
Here are some pics of Gracie while we were on a walk, little ollie (he is about twice that size now) and also the much anticipated Cow exam picture.
