Brr |
Well i am cold. Other than that life has been good. I'm training to be a vet tech at work! I had fun today just kinda bouncing around and learning new things. Anyway, i got my super cool camera last wednesday, and spent a lot of time playing with it this weekend.
Oohh aslo, Gracie is now a 21st century dog. They had a microchpping clinic this last weekend, and she now is microchipped. :) She did really well around all the other dogs and was such a good puppy here at the house. the landlord actually stopped by when she was here, he really didn't care that she was here, but we're still kind of confused about whether or not she is "allowed" here. We need permission in writing, and they haven't given us that.
Well i was going to post some of my pictures, but it is being stupid, so i'll have to do that later.
Yar! (thats because is it National Talk like a Pirate Day!!!)

Yay for birthdays. |
Birthdays are fun!!
What is even better is when you have a suprise party at the end of a challenging birthday day.
I woke up to find my table soaked in water from some plants, my notebook conveniently in the middle of all of it (just a tad soggy). Not a good way to start out the day but I figured, eh, it can only get better. Get to work, chaos insues for the next 3 hours (never quite sure where or what i should be doing, always getting corrected somehow, feeling generally incompetent ect.) Get home, go to class.
I then started the battle with a certain store (who's name will be protected, we'll call them . . . "Bulls-eye") I had bought a camera at Bulls-eye the day before and found out taht it took really crappy pictures in low light conditions, like anything that isn't in full sun/inside. Since I didn't feel like keeping a 200 dollar camera that takes crappy pictures, i decided to return the camera. The wonderful Bulls-eye employee told me that there would be a 30 dollar "restocking fee" on the camera that I had owned for 24 hours. After a lot of discussion, begging, and me getting worked up as much as I can (which takes a lot of effort on my part since i am a fairly easy going person) i finally talked them out of the restocking fee. Especailly based on the fact that I had questioned about the returning policy and was not told/warned about any restocking fee.
So now, i have 250 bucks in my pocket, I want a camera. I find camera I want, no store actually has it in stock. The lovely people at Office Max agree to ship it to my door at no extra charge, I no longer have 250 bucks. :)
ANyway that concludes the irritating part of my day. Commense with the Happy part of the Happy birthday.
I got a super cool stereo from my Lou lou. It plays CDs, acts as an alarm clock, hooks up to my MP3 player (YAY!!) and has a remote. its pretty mucht eh sweetest thing on my desk right now. I also get a wonderful visit from my GG and ER buddies, Jodi and Kevin!!
At this point I'm thinking its a pretty good day. I have a camera coming in teh mail,I have a new notebook to replace the soggy one, I got a visit from some friends, and I have a dinner date with Lucas later on. Lucas comes, we eat, he uses the women's restroom accidentally, we proceed on the way home. I walk in to a pretty dark room and see that my roomies are waiting with cake for me! YAY, then about a billion and a half people continue to pile out of the hallway!! Andi had gone and invited all my buddies to wish me a Happy Birthday!! I was really suprised and super excited to see everyone all at once and know that they had come to celebrate with me! Yay for friends, Yay for Andi for putting the work into all of it!!
Anyway, I don't know who all reads this, but Thanks for all the birthday wishes!!!
